Description
This is one of the openings in the Society of the Four Arts Gardens, Palm Beach, Florida. I am in the Oriental garden looking out. The small plaque said ‘The Chinese feel that unless a man has a garden, he scarcely grasps the reason for existence’. I believe! Do zoom to appreciate the design.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

very beautiful and intricate design Great capture Dana
Outstanding capture Dana!!
wonderful looking
Dana, this is a fantastic composition. Love it. I think a round opening means luck to the Chinese! Great idea!!!
Gorgeous gate and pic, and I do SO agree!
Splendid gate and superb capture!
Nice view and that grill design is fantastic.
Great Iron work! Cool capture!
I agree with the Chinese on this one and I want one of those windows.
I agree with the sentiment! This is a lovely shot and surely an interesting design element. Almost anything can be made more interesting just by having a place to look through to see it from without. I have an area in my back yard that is enclosed and entered only through a trellis archway, but I did add one opening on an adjacent side for viewing in both directions and I still enjoy those views and photographed Montana through that opening the other night.
great view and design, nice shot
Wow, superb capture of this circular window and the garden, there is great harmony in your shot!
A beautiful looking through capture, dear Dana. I love my garden too. Hugs for all day, Di. xx
Very cool shot and agree with the gardening words. I had some great adventures in Palm Beach as I grew up way down the road in Fort Lauderdale......However I do not miss the heat and the "life is for shopping mentality." :)
Wonderful capture!
beautiful view through and place there too !!
Makes for a great shot.
What an awesome pic this is great catch on it.
Wonderfully capture Dana!! :)
A nice shot of this view and I like the Chinese quote.
A beautiful opening, great in zoom as you can take a closer look inside!!
Nicely done, Dana. A beautiful shot.
Fantastic looking porthole for looking through, excellent capture Dana! :)
A lovely garden viewspot!
Very nicely design indeed Dana! It adds a jigsaw type feel to the view through it. Cool!
cool capture
SUPERB IMAGE!
Oh, great capture of this example of quintessential Chinese sculpture, Dana. A portal to the gardens. I have something similar in my files that I will dig out eventually. And, if the quote has any meaning, then I fail to grasp the reason for existence because I have no garden, just some succulents in my patio.
This is a super screen for this opening and a great capture too. I agree with the proverb too, where would I be without my garden.
Great view and design, nice sho, Dana !
