Description
I think that my Great Grandmother was the inspiration for Lovecraft. As a child she would keep me in line with Balkan horror tales. No wonder I draw strange images and fear the dark. Anyway, her stories came from the region of Northern Greece, an area that was called Epirus. She spoke only Albanian, so I learned that language as a child at her side. Next to the vampires her favorite fright creature was the Gorgon. Her description of their lair, in the nearby mountains, fits this image, If she saw it today, she'd clap her hands, twirl around and laugh. This fright night fractal is for you Gram, you really left your influence. Enjoy, but be wary of Gorgons and elderly women who want to tell you a story!

Folk tales and mythology all rolled up .. but wait .. isn't mythology just the fancy name for folk tales anyway?? You were so lucky to have a grandma who shared language AND all those awesome tales with you!! She would be SO proud of you if she all this .. in fact, I'm sure she is positively beaming at you as we speak! Truly the Gorgon's lair .. delightfully eerie ... and oh darn ..
