Description
This little chap is only about 3/10"/7mm. No postwork for a change. He may be a Misumena vatia male, they are very tiny and run huge risks mating with the great big-hot-momma females.
I took several shots with my newest TZ, the TZ18, and they were no good at all. So I took some more with my old TZ3 and this was the result..MUCH better, although still a little fuzzy as there is a breeze this morning.
SO I went onto eBay and bid on another couple of the TZ3s....

Superb capture Andrea. God Bless.
This is a superb capture Andrea, very clear and it looks like one of the jumping kind!!
cool.. great shot... so, we have our spider's day !
Cool shot for sure. Wonderfully weird gingerbread cookie face going on in the spider's roundy "back." :)
Lovely Capture.
Your to funny great shot of this specimen.
Wonderful capture of this little guy. I would think the urge to mate would be a lot lower if women tended to always kill the man afterwards.
I'm amazed to see that you classify this upload in "Creatures" and not in "Animals"... spider do continue to fear woman... ;~)
Excellent capture of this fella!!
Xcellent photo closeup! Stunning colors!
Excellent details on this little guy!
Excellence Andrea, love the details here even in the leaves too.
Beautiful macro - the lighting & composition are outstanding...
Stunning shot, also this Iris leaf. It is again a great item. That's strange you got a better result with your TZ3 one. Could it be, that you are so very used to this older camera? Anyway the compo is wonderful, Andrea.
WHat a fabulous shot Andrea. So beautiful colors and details.
Excellent shot, fantastic details and beautiful colours!
Wonderful capture! Great details and colours! :)
it will get time to get use to the new camera. very good shot
horro story! great shot
horror story! great shot
Cool focus, color, lighting effects and textures, Andrea. Is that a human face I see on the tail end of the spider? And you're going to have an entire arsenal of TZs before you're done.
It is a great capture Andrea and it is worth a little fuzzy to see something that I have never seen before!
I am not entirely familiar with this breed, but I must say that you've captured a handsome specimen. I love the limb arrangement and the sense of color is simply perfect! Nature at its most brilliant is always such a treat to see and you've captured it here. Perfectly.
Excellent capture Hugs Susan~
A very nice capture! I'm assuming you like the TZ3s so much you want to make sure you have an extra one in case your present one suffers from old age. I just did the same, buying a D300S body in case my present D300 buys the farm!
Wonderful capture! Great details and colours!
excellent !
We got similar ones here - they are really fast. Well done shot for a breezy day and such a fast little guy.
Suberb capture of this little creature Andrea. Sure hope he gets to enjoy his encounter with the Mrs. b4 he goes to meet his maker!! Good luck camera hunting!!
Great capture of him!! He looks also a bit cautious?...
