They're always hungry. Excellent shot. It's great, that the birds feel comfortable in your surroundings.
Lovely shot looks like you need a box of dried meal worms to help out the parents.
wonderful Andrea, just wonderful
awsome capture terrific shot
Wow that is gonna keep the mother busy trying to feed that many mouths? Great capture.
The parents must be run ragged. Wonderful shot.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
Either they're yelling for help, singing their hearts out, or crying out for food, food, wonderful food, in this outstanding shot, A.
Awwww, baby birds are so ugly, but sooo precious!
Wow Andrea what good timing. This marvelous looking choir seems to be causing quite a ruckus. Thanks for sharing.
ooooohhhhh !
very nice capture
That's just a fantastic shot! It illustrates the endless appetites they have and why northern Alberta is so important to migratory nesting birds of North America. The vast insect bloom in Alberta's north is the source of feeding for most birds in North America. I think the figure was around 70% but I'm not sure of that right now. Other areas, though used for nesting, simply do not have enough insects to feed to prodigeous numbers of nesting birds.
Absolutely wonderful Andrea. Your dogs are doing a great job keeping the cats away.
See, what happens in Springtime? and there seem to be more coming soon ... WOW - that's a lot of mouths to feed - poor parents! or can you help them out, somehow (?) Andrea? thanks for sharing this, BB
This is magnificent and what darlings they are precious.
