Description
Cheezy title, I know. Just had to use it. I really like the looks of this plane, the Su-25 "Frogfoot". Right out of the box it captured my attention and imagination. Another low and slow, these pilots, along with their counterpart A-10 drivers have got cajones the size of .... well use your imagination. The danger of course in these antics is the chance that you'll perchance happen across a couple of pissed off local inhabitant dudes toting a deadly stinger missile...(Stingers have pretty good odds going for them. They like helicopters, but an Su-25 is just as likely to get stung as well.)The piper likes his dues. (Zoom this one for a better look)
Frogfoot by mandun free at sketchup warehouse liberally modified to fit the bill
Stinger launcher at vanishingpoint.biz and free if memory serves
Pissed off inhabitants of the territory, M3 with bits from here and there.
I took pixels and pen to task to make the Stinger missile in Cd4.
Poser, Cd46XL (the model T of Cd4, I think), Vue 6 Infinite, and PS Cs3

Very fine picture. The never ending story in Afghanistan and it's beginning in the 80ies when soviet forces began a tragic adventure.

Awesome picture! I am always a little bit jealous to those who are fit in vue... they can do all this epic broad pictures. Sounds like an Afghanistan story out of the 80's ;-)

Man! those goat herders really get pissed if you disturb their flock...still, Ollie North's presents sure beat a sheepdog :-) First 'Frogfoot' I've seen in years (first render ever).Love the view up the valley, excellent work kit bashing the natives, very fitting for time and place...I think 'texboy' sums this one up perfectly :-)

That's awesome... its a well thought out scene...everything seems in the right place and the attention to detail is great! And I can almost smell the "av-gas" and hear the engines.

You're making excellent use of the Sketchup models. I've tried to get them into a form Icanuse, but they come out half donne. Good scene!
