Description
This is one reason why I don't dig up all the Dandelions.
The insects are more important than a 'weed'-free garden!
Andrena species, possibly A. nigroaenea, I'm reliably informed by an expert from BWARS!

Your garden is a paradise for wildlife Andrea. :o)
I would love to be there enjoying your beautiful garden Andrea. Amazing capture. God Bless.
Magnificent capture, Andrea! :)
The bee's are becoming more active again now I have a massive nest in the ground in front of my house and they are swarming again , it sad to know that bee's work themselves to death and like 28 day's according to documentary's and things I have watched and a bee wont sting unless it really has to because it will die if it does.
This is extraordinarily beautiful.
Simply wonderful photography g/f.
Gorgeous capture Andrea! Its too cold here for many insects yet. I did see a mosquito yesterday, those ones I can do without. :)
AmaZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzing clarity and details and colors!
Beautiful capture! What equipment were you using?
Fantastic pic Andrea, the sun is shining in London today, but I have not seen a situation that my gardens are "Throbbing with invertebrates" hehe!
Your dandelions, like everything else in your garden, are huge and beautifully healthy...wonderful capture!!
Superb shot Andrea.
You are right Andrea. And I love dandelions. Lovely capture :)
So Lovely.
Fantastic shot, excellent details and wonderful colours. You have the knack for capturing insects.
super shot again! I did not have so much luck.
One man's weed is your perennial they are not a problem if you dead head them,I love them too and that's another great shot.
Great capture Hugs Susan~
OMG, your dandelions are really pretty and are light years ahead of our motley crop down in the Southland. Capital capture all around, Andrea, and I reiterate that the flower sure looks like the variation of a dahlia.
A super capture of them both. I don't have the time to get all the weeds out of my garden either.
beautiful !
FABULOUS IMAGE
Wow the bee makes a dandelion weed flower look very pretty as it flits through the leaves. We have several of these flowers sprouting up across our lawn.
A brilliant spot to show off this bee and dazzling in zoom!
