Description
Ta-dah - the lovely Shelby by Jenny and Rob. She is adorable and I love her. Very fun and easy to work with. She has a really sweet, pretty face and I'm glad they put fey ears with her, because she lends herself very well to the fey genre - especially with her 'freckle face' option. With that in mind, I decided to put some sort of fanciful hair on her and make her a red-head. And I had to use Nikisatez's Spell-binder outfit again because it is so gorgeous. I thought it would look good on Shelby and it does! This is the default texture here that comes with it.
Of course a story came to mind as I was watching the render finish. ("Every picture tells a story, don't it?") She reminded me of a little fey princess who's been crying because she has been told she has to marry some fey prince she's never even met. In spite of her feelings, she dresses herself up and dutifully takes herself downstairs to meet him. Just the look on her face said, "Maybe he isn't so bad afterall!" Thus the title.
Background is by me and the wall is from DM Sunedge.
Thank you so very much for the gift of Shelby, Jenny!! You are such a sweet, generous lady :) I am happy to have her in my runtime!
Thank you all for looking and I have to say a couple of the comments on the last one made me laugh - three in particular. As always your comments and favs are appreciated and I hope you like my version of Shelby! If you haven't seen Seth (barryjeffer) and Odile's (and Jenny's, of course!) versions of her - do go by and check them out. Shelby is very versatile!! I can't wait to see what some of the rest of you do with her.
It's thundering and lightning here like crazy...YES!!!! :D
And I'd like to say a special 'thanks' to Roxy for her comment on 'Short Strange Dream'. I liked that :))
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Very delightful young fae. you did a great job and the story is excellent for the picture
WOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!! Oh, this is just gorgeous, Rayvn! You really brought out Shelby's beauty in this lovely artwork! I do love the freckles - and all her other options. Really a versatile character. Superb work, my friend!
love the beauty of her, love the work you did with the piece hanging out of her hair, and killer outfit. Jenny and Rob will love this.
Very nice portrait of Shelby. "A l'ancienne" I would say. There is such a pre-Renaissance atmosphere in it. Bravo à celle qui ne dort jamais....comme dit Roxy ! :D
It's such a nice portrait, I like the freckle face. Hopefully the prince turns out to be her prince charming.
beautiful image and nice expression
Outstanding character design! Beautiful portrait.
She looks amazing :) Soooo cute!
Shelby is beautiful and versatile, love her. You've shown her in a beautiful light here Rayvn. A thoughtful expression suits her youthful, sweet face perfectly. Beautiful render my friend.
Beautiful portrait & clothing, very nice render!
She looks so pretty with that outfit. I just got that one too and hope I can use it in one of my renders this week. I really enjoyed the background story you wrote. That face expression is priceless, she looks sad and coy, just love that demure face. You really rock, Ray! ;-)
Splendid portrait and great outfit, she's very lovely with her freckled skin!
Brilliant! She looks very sweet and she does lend herself to a fey look. I'm glad you used the freckle option. I decided to try that option myself. Perhaps later today I'll have a finishe version. Excellent render and the lighting shows her off beautifully. Great hair and outfit and the details came out great on her clothes and props, not to mention her skin. Fabulous work.
Stunning image with the gorgeous character Shelby, love also the wonderful story....superb work my friend.
