Description
When it is quiet
And I have time to myself
I get your letters from my safe
I keep them there
Because they are my treasure
They are full of gold and silver
Diamonds and rubies
I spread out felt to lay them on
Being ever so careful not to tear them
I randomly pick one out to read
And it makes me want to close my eyes
Pull you into my arms
And dance with you in the wind
Then I take another one out to read
It makes me laugh so hard my sides ache
Tears run down the side of my face
Then I lock them back up
In my special little place

This is wonderful poem Randy, very powerful and it evokes a clear image in my mind. If I may, I would like to suggest it stop five lines earlier. Everything up to that point evokes a defining place, a clear memory of past loves that you share with us to create a magical scene. We are invited to be observers of a moment and no more need be said to envision the depth of the bond.
Thank you my friend I do like it better without the last 5 lines. it reads smoother and it still brings across what I want to convey :)
