Description
This is my third attempt at painting hair in photoshop. This is my first try with a tablet. How does it look?
Also made my own texture for fur. Let me know what you think about it?
And finally, this is my first attempt at merging two models into one creature. I imported the Vickie and the base lion model into C4D and then merged the two meshes into one model. I had to do a little post work in Photoshop to make the texture seams look more realistic.
This image took over a week of spare time to make. Hope it turned out ok.
Enjoy...

Okay....you need more shades in the hair. If you use only one or two colors it looks flat, even though you gave lots of movement to it. The shading in the back (What would be under the neck) is excellent. You also gave it good height. If you stick the hair too close to the head, it makes the person look deformed. I also like the little fly-away hairs you put in. That gives it a wild look and a touch of realism. I would suggest for the fur using the Eye Candy 4000 "fur" filter. It makes the most amazing fur and hair and picks up the color beneath the selection when it "builds" the fur. I think you did an amazing job putting the two together, and I like the way the fur grows up and merges into her skin. Good hair, like Rome, was not built in a day....(If you could fluff the lion's tail out just a tad it would be more realistic, too.) You have lots of talent, so keep up the good work.
