Description
The idea for this crossover fan art came about during a crazy conversation on Facebook when I said one reason I loved the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and Star Wars was because I have a thing for sword fights. Somehow, the idea of Jack Sparrow with a lightsaber popped into my head and refused to leave. So... here we are.
The lightsaber effect was created using a combination of IDL lighting in Poser and some digital painting in Photoshop. I had trouble thinking up what color of lightsaber Jack would have so I just went with what looked good for this scene. I had a lot of trouble with the IDL (turned out it was a single material causing the light calculations to explode) but it was all fixed thanks to the wonderful "wimvdb" at the official Poser 9/2012 forum.
In case you can't tell, he's in Mos Eisley on Tatooine because, as Obi-Wan said, it's a "wretched hive of scum and villainy". Sounds perfect for Jack!

OH this is AWESOME, Lizzie! Not only is it one of your best yet, but the idea of Cap'n Jack with a lightsaber is just off-the-scale delightful! Give yourself a big pat on the back for this one!
