Description
Unfortunately the Mamo is another of the beautiful Hawaiian birds that is now extinct. But thanks to Ken we can at least enjoy their beauty in our art!
Thank you for visiting!

What a tragedy they are so beautiful as is this image.
Gorgeous image, these birds are wonderful, and the decor is superb! excellent image!
Easily one of my favorite of your Hawaiian images (and my wife's too)... the yellow feathered cloak of King Kamehameha was composed of approximately 450,000 feathers of the mamo bird and each mamo only had 6-7 useable yellow feathers.
epic loveliness
Gorgeous!!
Beautiful bird and colors..nicely done!!
Very well done.
Such a beautiful bird with an unusual beak. Lovely scene. CC
He really did a marvelous job in bringing this glorious bird back to life Flint, and you excelled in depicting it in these beautiful native surroundings
Another amazingly beautiful bird image my friend, excellent work love it.
precious..i have now the songbird remix base and i can say they are wonderful!!
Beautiful scene makes me want to weep for being so lovely - especially when Ken G tells us about the King who who must have killed over 45 thousand birds to make his silly cloak!
@Flint: really great image again, although less depth and fog, and stronger colors would have made is more painterly, and Asian silk style. Matter of taste. @KenG: no wonder the bird got extinct.
superbe image !!
So beautiful a pity they are extinct now..
