Description

Helloooo! Ladies & Germs! Here is, so far what I've done as packaging set up. This is a very tedious & time consuming process, all the characters, props & mats have to be rendered 1st, thumb nails are then created, & I then replaced the original png files. Thumbnails for the characters, props & weapons props are done. Have some mat files for the ranks, & I'm still working on more divisional & unit thumbnails, but for the release this will be it 4 Normandy period divisions with the 1 coresponding period unit per division, there is just so much that its very hard to decide where to stop, I still need to do the cap badge mats. I havent even done the Canadian & Polish divisions yet... This will be the basic set, no officers yet that will come later. the Basic set will include : 11 Characters - Ammo Boots L&R, 2 Tops Open & closed, Under Shirt, Trousers, Suspenders, Webb Straps, Gaiters L&R and the Bren LMG. 23 Clothing Props so far. I might add a few more, such as the Tam O Shanter, since I have the 15Th Scotish Inf Div represented. - MkII & MkIII helmets with 3 parented props each, regular net + net with bandage + scrim. Beret, Webb Belt, Small Pack, Parented & un-parented Mug, Ammo Pouches L&R, Bandolier L (might also add a Right side one), parented Rolled Blanket, parented Entrenching Tool, Canteen & Parented L&R Sleeve props for the 2 tops, mats will assigne ranks, divisions & unit flashes. 15 Weapons Props - Bren Mag & Sling, No4 Enfield Rifle, Mag, & Sling (the sniper Kit will be released with the Denison Smock, since the snipers usually wore smocks or gillie suits & no I'm not attempting a gillie suit). Also Included for the rifle the Bayonet frog, scabbard with a parented Bayonet + rifle parented Bayonet. sten MkII with 2 different stocks, T & wire with parented sling for each stock & parented Mag. & finally for the Basic Set, the mills Bomb. The Mat files speak for themselves... I still have a fair amount of work left before the set goes out for beta testing. But it is getting closer & closer to the FINISH LINE! The set is very extensive because I wanted to avoid the look alike syndrome, I wanted variety. Well I believe I've achieved that. Later on I will add Armour, Artillery & Engineers, for Now its just Infantry. Let me know what you think, & if you have any suggestions for units or divisions, don't hesitate to drop a line I'm open to suggestions. Thank you for looking.

Oh, MY! I knew it's a lot of work, but wow! Looking through the files in a zipped purchase gives a bit of insight into the work, but... this screams of devotion and persistence. Good going, Tryphon. And, nice of you to let Neil use your figures and textures for his latest post. A bit of good advertising there - ;-) Keep up the good work! :-)

You have every right to be proud of your accomplishment. It will definitely fill an important niche in the military models area and I predict that it will be a hit. PS. Yes, count me in.

I'm still amazed at the variety and level of detail in all of this....and I've got most of it! All I can add is 'it looks impressive here, but when you see it up close it is astounding !!!!' I don't hope it's a huge success...I KNOW it will be....you say "closer and closer to the finish line" why do I suspect you mean "another start line" ;-) Hats off to you sir!! this would be a hard act to follow...but knowing you...........

Amazing. For me it's OK. If I need badges for other units I paint them myself. ;-) I would like to see short trousers for desert rats or other colonial guys. You could make later a release for this.
