Description
Eucalyptus deglupta is a tall tree, commonly known as the Rainbow Eucalyptus, the Mindanao Gum, or the Rainbow Gum. It is the only Eucalyptus species found naturally in the Northern Hemisphere. The unique multi-hued bark is the most distinctive feature of the tree. Patches of outer bark are shed annually at different times, showing a bright green inner bark. This then darkens and matures to give blue, purple, orange and then maroon tones. Straight out of the camera except for cropping. Zoom helps a little. Photo taken with my old Minolta.

Coming from the Land of Eucalyptus trees, it's simply marvellous to see and experience another species, aren't they just so precious to a photographer, when shedding another layer of bark? We do grow them here as well, our humid climate is perfect for them - thanks for sharing this, Dana BB
So well seen, with this beautiful colors. A great capture, Dana.
