Description
This is the boat that brought us out to the Agincourt Ribbon Reef, a particular area of the Great Barrier Reef, about 40km northeast of Port Douglas, Queensland.
While the boat was anchored at the diving site, one crew member acted as an observer, while two other crew members assisted divers and snorkelers to get into and out of the water. In addition, one professional diver stayed with the scuba divers, and another professional diver stayed with the snorkelers.
Safety and personal attention was outstanding. On the way to the sites we were given a crash course on how to identify different fish and corals. Also equipment was issued and instruction given on how to don the gear, depart the boat and other general safety instructions.

wow! very curious now... do you also have underwater pics? 'sounds' like an amazing experience!!! reminds me of a story of a captain we once had 'the privilege' of sailing with. the (merchant) ship was (obv.) anchored in the middle of ...... and while everybody was enjoying a swim, they saw the ship slowly drifting away ;-D TG they had forgotten to take one of the deck hands along for the swim LOL
