Description
Now nearly a month late in opening, the council hope to have it open to the public and traffic in early April. The latest setback saw tarmac falling off when the bridge was raised.
Here the bridge is partially lowered.

great foto.
'tarmac falling off when the bridge was raised'.........I'm guessing that could be a problem!
This is exciting, Steve, to see it in action!
only time will tell
Now this is really a unique bridge and likewise photo! Interesting to see the underside construction (reminds me of the underside of the flight deck of an aircraft carrier). The skewed construction suggests to me an imbalance in weight when raising/lowering the bridge ( = a lot of wear and tear on the machinery). Would be intersting to see more photos of this unique design. Keep up the good work! :-)
I love bridges...very cool capture here of this one 'in the works'
Typical sloppy Britain that the tarmac falls off. Oh well at least I can't find anything wrong with this superb capture, great POV
A delightful design ... I hope it works out!
Amazing looking bridge, nice work Steve.
