Description
I just wanted to thank everyone for remembering my birthday today...and also to thank all of you for being so loyal & supportive to me in the last months, when I've been so sporadic with all of you. I thank you all very deeply & I've put aside much of the weekend to go to all your galleries & visit once again. (And comment on your birthday images too. I promise, I will see all of you.)
You've all been terrific to me, truly.
Btw, do you know what I did all day, today? TAXES!!!! Freakin' TAXES!!!! Don't ask!!! A GREAT way to spend a birthday. The evening was at least better...
Re. the image:
Please see it full size---it's a big nothing, small. It's a study of reflections in my 'hood, but I liked the interplay so I decided to put it up. (It's 4 blocks from home, a month ago.)
Thanks again everyone! I'll be back on the weekend.
Have a good beginning of spring!
Blessings, Mark

Happy Birthday and Happy Spring!!
It really is a very cool study in reflections, and such a crisp clear photo. Very nice image. I didn't know it was your birthday - SO HAPPY B-DAY, Mark. Doing taxes on your special day is the pits (I haven't done mine yet) All I can say is I'm really glad you were born and wish you many more birthdays (sans taxes).
This is such a fabulous image. I LOVE that particular building and the just-right angle of your shot. The windows have the quality of mercury or hematite, and the smoothness of the reflections are mesmerizing. This has everything ... iron garden fences, the classic "different-architecture-on-every-corner" look of Chicago, those beautiful street trees, great contrast with subdued color ... it's wonderful! Take good care, dear one, and enjoy what's left of your day. :) Happy Birthday!
Mark, first of all let me wish you a happy birthday my friend. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful image of your beloved city. It has such a peaceful and tranquil feel to it, and those reflections you mentioned really are outstanding. Happy birthday Mark
Many happy returns Mark. Very beautifully done photo :)
Mark. It is so delightful to see you in RR again :-) This beautiful shot with all its reflections and other details is perfect for the occation. TAXES! SIGH! That is indeed a lousy employment on ones Birthday. I know you have been up to your ears with that. Oh, am I happy, we have our good tax system in DK. I am glad you atleast had a better evening, dear fried :-D
Awesome reflections & capture.
WONDERFUL photo! Taxes...AARRGH!
And happy birthday again, Mark; this is such a satisfying shot...there's that white stuff on the ground, which I love, and all the lines and angles playing off each other, and then that big reflecting surface of the glass--mesmerizing! But couldn't you have found a better way to celebrate your birthday than TAXES?
beautiful capture!! Happy Birthady!!
AmaZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzing photograph!
Happy Birthday Mark ! beautiful picture , reflexion, colors...
A little bit late but Happy Birthday!. Lovely photo.

Great shot!
Beautiful image Mark, and belated birthday wishes. I already did and got my taxes back.. Fun fun huh??
A splendid capture with a wonderful crisp clarity and the most wonderful reflections. You certainly take marvellous photos. I'm sorry you had to spend your birthday doing your taxes but I hope you get a refund. I don't have to do taxes any more, one advantage of being old I guess. Take care.
Remarkable POV, definitive clarity, contrast, depth, reflections, rectangles and overall ambience in this sunny winter scene, Mark! A belated Happy Birthday, and hope to see you on the site again, my friend.
As always, my happybirthday to you, Mark, is a bit belated. Be well, my friend, and let any further taxes never spoil your other numerous birthdays. Love your capture!
so much to see through your all seeing eye
