Description
ANZAC Square is located in the heart of the Brisbane CBD. It has several memorials that honor the troops of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) that fought in Gallipoli in the Ottoman Empire during World War I.
It now more broadly commemorates all those who died and served in military operations for their countries.

Impressive Sig! A quite stunning building, beautifully kept.. Respect is due to all those who gave their lives serving their Country and King.. When Britain was in danger, Australia and NZ were the first to mobilise.. They fought to defend their homeland in the Pacific as well.. Sorry enough.. I started a History lesson.. I have the utmost respect for the Australian and NZ soldier.. Rob
