I woke up today Feeling the aches in my bones It has been a long journey To get me here I have hitchhiked across America Made friends from one end to the other I have had money falling out of my pockets And I have spent many nights looking for change I have seen things That make me wake up screaming at the night And I have sat on the banks of the Columbia Counting the stars until the sunrise I have cried at the death of love ones And cried at the birth of the loves of my life I have flirted With every pretty girl in the world Well not yet But I am still trying My clock struck 51 today And I have had such a wonderful life If I dared to complain It would be a sin Yep I turned 51 today and I am ok with that. If I could go back and change things I surely would but if I could go back and be young again I would have to pass. It took to long to get here and I don’t want to do that trip again. The only thing that I really don’t like about getting older is the aches and pains but that is part of the process so oh well. Thanks for everything my friends, your warm thoughts keep me writing Randy

The aches and pains are there for a reason. They remind us to live well, for life is short. And they remind us that passing on ends these aches and pains and so it is not so bad and we will once again either be reborn, to grow again, or we will reach the end and finally touch the devine. Wish I had known but next year I will. Remind me though because I am prone to forgeting :-)
