Description
This was the 14th-floor hallway in our hotel in Chicago. Chip, Corey and Yvonne will recognise it immediately!
The Reliance Building, so named for its functionality, opened in March 1895. It was one of the first skyscrapers to offer electricity and phone service in all of its offices. In its first few decades, it provided office space for merchants and health professionals, including Al Capone's dentist.

It seemed as though Sam Spade may have had an office on the 5th floor. We never caught sight of him, but thought we saw his secretary at one point. I don't think any of us imagined Al Capone's dentist! (Room 809, if you're curious. We stayed in 1408.)
