Description
Taken on a morning walk up the road I live on. When we moved to the country almost 9 years ago (after living in & around big cities our whole lives), we were surprised at how long rural driveways can be. Ours is a modest 500 feet or so, but many are much longer. Our good friend across the road, for example, has a driveway 7/10 of a mile long, with hairpin turns, steep drop offs (with no guardrails, of course) & wildlife often crossing your path, so you really need to pay attention to your driving, especially in the snow or at night, & 4-wheel drive isn't a bad idea. Going over to their house for dinner can be an adventure in itself...

Interesting shot. I like the composition.
What a change of mindset to think of driving over to the neighbor's house! I would forego the hairpin turns in the snow ... otherwise it sounds delightful!
superb illustration of winter
AWESOME IMAGE! WONDERFUL WORK!

stunning!!! distances do seem to growww in winter... but I still envy you for living in wonderworld... lucky you?!! :-D (farm where I'm often invited to is just 2 minutes from our home, yet a completely different world!) brilliant POV & compo
All excellent reasons to justify buying a Jeep, LOL!
Superb. I thank you for this one. 5+! It says a lot about you.
Looks like a beautiful Christmas card all it needs is a wreath on the mail box. I sure hope your neighbors are good cooks. :)
