Description
A was sitting on the sea wall which is separating the boardwalk from the lagoon in Cairns watching the weather and the people around me when this girl and two young guys stopped right next to me. I had assumed that they knew each other and were together, but after awhile I realized that the two guys had left and the girl, after checking a map, began to read a kindle (a Japanese version I think). In the process she made herself comfortable, but kept changing positions occasionally.

Nice candid! I've given the idea of a reader a few seconds worth of thought, but that's as far as it goes so far. The library is a much bigger part of my life than the bookstore!

Excellent candid capture of this young lady! This looks like a such a peaceful and relaxing past time, I wish I too can be doing this right about.. now! :) The Kindly was an excellent idea, saves so much shelf space indeed! :)
A sign of the times, I guess. Though I spent most of my working life as a computer analyst & am pretty comfortable with most technology, I still prefer the feel of an actual book in my hands & the pleasure of browsing through a used book store & finding an unexpected treasure. My wife wanted to buy me a Kindle as a Valentine's Day gift, but I vetoed it...

Nice candid capture. I must admit, I have not gotten used to people being out on a beautiful day at the beach with their attention focused in technological devices. Still of the mindset that a beautiful day at the beach is for enjoying the surroundings.

My daughter bought me one of these last Christmas and while they are pretty cool. To me nothing better than the real thing, and they don't run out of power. Nice image.
