Fantastic looking! :D Wow! Excellent capture Jeff! :)
It is a "yes". I thank you for this one. 5+!
ah, ah, quite good find.
Yup ... that's why the roofs are that shape! :) There are places in the mountains up here where there isn't exactly a tunnel, but you drive through something that looks just like this porch, only bigger. They're called snow sheds, and they're specifically for shedding show and diverting avalanches across the roadway. The west side of the Cascade mountains gets more snow per year than anywhere else in the United States, so we've gotten pretty good at this! (Now I bet that was WAY more information than you ever wanted! LOL!) Did I mention how much I like this image? The light is superb.
wow this is cool . surreal looking
Fantastic colors and shadow.Wonderful photo.
TERRIFIC CAPTURE
Yikes! Good thing there's a strong roof between you and it!
That is crazy. :))) WOW that is alot of snow. :)))) Love the design in all of that snow. :)))) Most excellent capture my friend. :)))))))) Thank you for sharing all of the beauty you see. :))))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :))))) I hope you will come back to the states soon. :)))))))
what a weird and wonderful shot Jeff
Nice cpature. I used to live in a mountain cabin.. it got completely burried every winter. Despite the 15 foot climb up to its door.. used to have to dig down to get in.
I never seen this much snow slide off a roof.when I was a child we would get lots of snow on the roof and no idea why the old house did not cave in under the weight.obviously the roof is a standing seam roof.I installed some back when I was working
A great catch Jeff - this is a one in a million photo. Nice lighting.
Excellent capture , Jeff ! Great looking !
Bet they have a metal roof up there! Like the abstract effect left in the falling snow!
