Description
Today we had very heavy rains. when I went to work this morning I saw that the water level was rising. However after the rains, at about 1330, I headed for home via the shortcut
What you are seeing is the low point at the east end of the trail. I rode through it and my pedals just got damp.
There are several other spots that are 'damp' and I will post them today as well.
Have a great day

Yep will be like this here...for the next 60 days!
snorkel time?
We have a walking track around a lake that does this too we just walk right on through lol.. Nice shot Mike
I love rainy days..... Nice shot.
Reminds me when I was walking around the FDR Drive around 96 street a few months ago. It was by the East River. It was worse than this. Dramatic Capture! Well done!
My yard looked like that last week. ")
An impressive set of pictures.
Oh-oh, looks like you might be needing to find another route to work and another place to sit and look at the lake!
Olhei primeiro toda a sequencia e é espantoso o que ocorre na natureza, águas, neves e aqui um calor insuportável e sem chuva, é incrível meu amigo, magnifica sequencia obrigado por compartilhar, aplausos (5) I looked at first all straight and it is amazing what happens in nature, water, snow and here an unbearable heat and no rain, it's awesome my friend, magnifica sequel thanks for sharing, applause (5)
would not like be stuck at the bench, massive water.
I like the POV and glad that you rode through. I bet Harry will like the 'damp' bench. :>)
I think you need to haul a kayak along with you!
Amazing image Mike, superb place excellent shot!
Very wet ride you have here Mike.
Might be a little wet on the feet sitting on that bench... There's something rather refreshing about a few days of rain - as long as the water level doesn't get too high.. Cool shot, Mike! Love your route to work!
Well as long as you didn't get waist deep in the stuff! Like this pic a lot. Love those birches!
Cool shot, Mike!!
you should of had a fishing rod with you.water is our life blood but can easily be our demise
way to go and go for the water with a bike. remind me of when i was young and rode my bike thought the water
Minds me of the joke about the two characters watching a third one drown and wondering if they should have told him about the rocks.... Interesting shot.
I could sit on the bench if I had with me a fishing rod.Great capture Mike!
Are you sure you don't live near me? haha......
You have a lovely commute, even if you need to be a merman for some of it! :)
IMPRESSIVE PHOTO SET MY FRIEND LOVE THEM ALL
We aren't getting enough, apparently, in the UK.
rather dry here, except for some snow... one ought to be careful what to wish for ;-D
wow...you have a real problem with that!
Lovely shot Mike, very wet ride :-)
Looks like the lake/pond is encroaching on the shore. I'd bike here in day light because I can see the curve of the path/land, but after dark, er, no thanks! Nice ripples on the water, even where it's shallow - this suggests some wind. Your short cut looks like a quite nice one, despite the wet adventures! Nice job with the photo series. Keep up the good work! :-)
Wonderful shot.
