Description
I painted this with acrylics on canvas 24x36 inches
just finish it yesterday. if you see some wrong please tell me
wonder why i made the heads transparent. they here today gone tomorrow lol
some one ask if they was ghosts and why just see thought parts of them and not thought other parts? transparent heads and it just halve of the heads is transparent and the left parts of the arms is transparent.
The Cajun way of life around is die out as the old timers is die. they not gone yet so that why you see thought parts and other parts you do not see thought.
The Cajun music is strong now but no tell in the next 10 to 20 years as the culture language and way of life is fading.
thank you

beautiful painted ,looks like a funny moment too!
would be sad if another cultural aspect vanishes.
A super painting Jock. I wish I had your talent.
A clever idea to do the heads like that!

Marvellous painting, my friend. Really fine work! I love the way you've portrayed this fading culture. Excellent visual metaphor!
Wonderful painting, Jocko!! Great work!! :o)
he looks like he's dancing with a cigarette in his mouth and eventually is going to put it out on her neck - lol... I'm sure my Wife is glad I stopped smoking last 9-11-11 - wow... almost 6 months??? cool picture, I wouldn't change a thing.... except, sign your name with green paint down in the lower right.
cool done, full of movement, vitality and i love the color! great art work my friend!
great work.
Wow! Fantastic done! Really wonderful painting!
It looks wonderful Jocko. You have talent!
I always gravitate towards your paintings when I come to your gallery. Your practice of not painting exactly as you see, but more as you feel is one of the strengths of your work. It is a rare thing to capture emotions the way you do. This is beautiful. There is wonderful motion and festivity. I like the paintings on the wall, the lady's expression, and the shading of his shirt.
wow you really have a talent there, Jocko, oh so well done!
Yeah. It's just so sad that so many things that made this country are slowly disappearing. It's a big loss I think, to have all the old ethnic ways fade away. So many wonderful traditions, and ways of cooking, and languages .. all slowly going the way of the dinosaurs .. A wonderful painting Jock, with some strong meanings.
WOW! I really like this painting alot. It is like you have painted reflections of life. Never thought of painting such, but you gave me an idea :)
Love your style and this is a great work the only comment is that thing between there heads is a bit distracting.
