Description
No matter how many times he came to visit the terran homeworld
the sight of the sprawling megalopolis always overwhelmed him.
"Ambassador J'nnai, they await us."
The aging diplomat collected the fragments of his thoughts
to focus on the moment. It was time to surrender to the humans.

Modeled and rendered in LightWave as an entry to the LW Forum's monthly challenge. The urbanscape was rendered separately (in multiple layers) from the foreground interiors, and was then applied as a background image. Total production time, from concept to final render, 74 hours.
The background sky was created in Photoshop and used as a background image in the initial urbanscape render. The city is "Dystopia

this model is fantastic as per your usual standards....(theres some little things I would maybe have rendered different...yknow what i mean.....I woulda filled the place with voxels of some description and had more volume lights and lots of render hungry things like that lol).........as always.... can't fault the modelling.... superb work

That city is just so breathtaking. awesome image and composition. this would look really nice with a sunset version too beams of light passing through the buildings with strong shadows and strong highlights i can picture it now.
