Description
My first use of FrankB's 'Road and Tarmac' file which is available at the NWDA web site. One needs to navigate through the meandering road and find a good point of view of which there are many. I made a vertical adjustment to the terrain, but did little else to change it. One may add strata and displacements if desired. Much can be done to change the appearance to this fun file.
Additional elements added are dandelO's 'Larch Tree; and, Walli's 'Dry Shrubs', 'Grass Clumps' and 'Mouse Ear' chickweed. And, thanks to Jason for the 'Boxter' model. Also, thanks for the help by Frank and Jason for their help with resolving the car model's window glass transparency.
Finally, I did receive a perplexing error message just about when I was ready to do the final render. I'm sure this was not a keystroke flub on my part; but, was able to scour through the file and correct it prior to the final render. And again, Frank, Martin and Oshyan came to the rescue and offered their helpful suggestions and support regarding the issue which led to the resolution.

Excellent Realism and very beautiful!
OMGosh, at first glance I thought this was a photo. Excellent work.
A gorgeous place to drive through- I'm amazed at that ground cover and the highway shoulder rocks and stones; superb realism Bob!
Very nice! I want to drive that road!
The higher quality render process smoothed out alot of the road, it looks much better! Adding the green grass with the dead works very well for this!! I do like how the road has the rocky debris on the side, super touch in it for sure!!!
Fantastic image and lighting! Gorgeous surfaces. Corrie
Very much road worthy!
very realistic scene, great landscape and lighting
Great image. Problem is, in my country we drive on the other side! very realistic - I thought for a second I was looking at a photo its that good. Nice use of foliage.
You make excellent terrains Bob, Very nice

Xcellent render!

Wonderful scene and realism, Bob!!!
I can only imagine the number of hours you put into this, Bob. And it's good to have folks who can help out. Spot on, a fantastic rendering! Now if there were only a way to put a few cracks and small potholes in the road...
fantastic work Bob, excellent view and details!!!
Awesome work Bob...but, you know me...a bit more contrast and saturation and WOW! You've really got a handle on TG2...I'm still playing catch-up. :)
Wow - that's impressive. Really well done. (But maybe you could work in a blond lady driving the car with a 6-pack in the passenger seat??)
Awesome scene.
Wonderful! Very realistic!
another interesting render with car! love the trees here and wonder where the driver is? for a walk? ;o)
The driver is behind the tree having a relief session.
