Description
She was very nervous, and afraid. She hated these parties. The women avoided her because she was beautiful. The men avoided her because she had a limp and they were too shallow to dance with her. Her limp did not interfere with her dancing, but they would never know because they never asked her to dance. Ah well, she thought, I will never be the "Belle of the Ball".
