Description
This is a Limpkin and he is part of a wildlife display, at the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge visitors center. I do not like to post stuffed birds and animals but the Limpkins are very elusive. They are about 26 inches (66 cm) long and about the same measurements for the wingspan. The live in the surrounding wetlands and eat snails, frogs, insects and fresh water clams. Their mating call is an ear piercing krr-oww and is mostly heard at night. We have a very lonely male living in a tree right outside our patio. We wish that he finds a mate soon! Zoom worthy!

the only way I like my birds stuffed is with dressing (turkey, chicken, Game hens,....) Great shot he is probably singing Elvis' song, 'Are you Lonsome tonight?'

Whoever stuffed this bird is very good at their work-It look's like your capture is through glass which make's the capture even more difficult--Beautiful capture of this fine looking bird...
