Description
I have mixed thoughts on this one.
I like the how the atmosphere came out. It started out as one of the presets that come with Vue but I tweaked it a bit and then changed the atmosphere model to "environmental mapping" which added the mist effect. (That was a first for me, I had no idea it would do that)
I created the wishing well from primitives in Vue and am pleased with how it turned out.
But I'm a little disappointed in Anna Hathaway's Cottage, which I just purchased from C3D.
I've seen other artists using it and it has seemed way more detailed and dimensional in their renders.
It seems a little flat here. (and I think it looked that way even before I did the environmental mapping on the atmosphere)
But overall, I like this scene, although I may try tinkering some more with the atmosphere and see if I can improve the detail on the cottage.
Thanks for all your comments and faves on my recent uploads -- I really appreciate them.

might want to look at the bump/displacement settings on it. Not a bad render at all though
Good luck with the tinkering, I don't do this type of artwork, but I certainly know what it is to tinker with a photo, back and forth. Looks like the advice above may help.
I think it turned out wonderful, and I always enjoy your art
WELL done above .... MAY add some 'contrast'/darkness to it? .... Btw: DUMB geezer TallPockets would WISH for an UNLIMITED number o' WISHES! WINK.
Thanks everyone. I'll have a look at the bump/displacement settings and twiddle the knobs on the contrast :-)
doing a good job
Very nice composition! Pg 97 of Vue manual mentions Bump or use Find command and type 'brick'. Have just started experimenting with those settings myself. Example would be how the Chimney looks flat.
Yes, 3DLonewolf, that's exactly the bit that's been bothering me. I haven't had much experience changing bump settings on an existing model, so this is a learning experience.
