Description
after the snow and heavy rains, we experience a touch of high water. this is what greeted me today as I rode to work. I did stop and take a few shots and then proceded to go the long way around to work.
IF the rains subside a touch for a few days, then I should be able to ride through the shortcut once again - however....the weatherman says no!

Your shortcut will eventually be back but in the meantime it gave you a great photo op.

A very good photo!
Wow. LOoks like the pastures where my horse is turned out. We've been getting a lot of rain and it is a mess.
The reflections are beautiful!

Swap the bike for a submarine ...

Superb capture!!!!!
maybe some pontoons for your bike? :D hope things do dry out a bit before the next deluge...great shot though--almost looks like a B&W...
COOL shot mike..
And how much longer does it take to become to the other side now...?
Nice capture.
Great place and shot.
Interessantes Foto.
AMAZING REFLECTIONS
Looks like you boardwalk has become a boat ramp, Mike! Cool photo!
Excellent shot
This is a good photo because it shows so much. The follow up isn't quite as interesting as a picture (though it does have its merits) as it lacks the scenery.
I don't think that this is the first time Mike and I am betting that it won't be the last. Fantastic reflections.
I love this reflections, also the mood is great, Mike. A great picture it makes.
Very eerie. Let's hope you don't get a visit from The Creature anytime soon. :O :D
Flip, you needed your wellies:o)
Great capture Mike!!! it's an inconvenience but does make for a great photo!!!!
good thing you noticed the sunken before you hit it.... cold and wet is no way to start a day! cool capture!
Wow Mike, this is an awesome shot!! Has a lovely eerie swampy quality to it, with awesome reflections! If the rains keep up, you'll need a submarine to get to work!
