Description
A while ago I had an idea of creating a feature-wall in my Dining room - as there were no other walls, that separated it from the Kitchen and Lounge room - OPEN PLAN LIVING - it has become quite a conversation piece with friends and visitors ...
(I have added here an extra artistic touch with some photoshop manipulation)

My tribute to Piet Mondrian (1872-1912) the Dutch abstract painter famous for his drawings of cubes and lines. He was an important contributor to the 'De Stijl'.
Cheers Brigitte

Excellent, BB!! Looks good! :o)
Brit, I am sure Mondrian would be in complete comfort here. It's a wonderful design!

Awesomely SUPER-COOOOOOL Brigitte!!!!!!!!! :)
Andrea said we need to see more of your house. If it's all like this, it must be amazing. I love what you did, here, not sure how you did it (painted, had the squares put in over the wall, wallpaper...) but it segments the wall beautifully, including the real segment of the open window ( a see-through to another room, I assume). You included the floor, so we get the ground perspective. And your postwork works very well with Mondrian, as it adds active line to his famous rectangles and squares; and it spills well into the furniture as well. It takes commitment to do this in one's home; and it works, and it's quite imposing. Fine concept, execution and photographic treatment.
