Description
I spotted this tree near the supermarket a few weeks ago. I have walked past this tree at least once a week for 12 years. I have never seen these red berries before and 2 weeks later they were all gone. The tree is about 20 feet (6 meters) high. Each of the berry branches are about a foot (30 cm) long. The berries could be tiny flowers. Zoom will help.
Thanks to Brigitte (Blondeblurr) for the ID of Umbrella tree native to tropical rainforests in Australia (eastern Queensland and the Northern Territory), New Guinea and Java.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

Yes, schefflera looks right, I used to have these as house plants. I was never very lucky for too long, though, they always ended up with spider mites! I never saw these berries, how gorgeous!
I have only seen this as a small conservatory plant. Nice shot.
