An open market scene in Kabul. The central figure is decidedly different from the rest of the Afghan women. That might be because of a certain tribal affiliation. I like the way she deals face-to-face with the salesman, even though her husband, in the role he must play publicly, since he is here with her, has to be the one who will make the final decision, and also be the one who pays. He, too, wears no cap of any kind. That might classify those two ethnically. He does, however, wear the standard Afghan Khamis with a jacket over it. Often it's a vest, also acceptable. I suspect that those two are a little better off than the average Afghan.
