Description
The Indian Running Duck, on the right, cannot fly. It must have been a long walk from Indonesia to get to Poole Park!
The suspician is that they were abandoned to their fate in the park when they were no longer wanted.

definitely a different sight in the park
Interesting, as I once saw a similar bird in Hawaii which I was never able to identify but he had that same shape. Perhaps he ran onto a cruise ship when no one was looking!
These Runner's always remind me of penguins by the way they all walk around upright together. One of the most famous Indian Runner's was Ferdinand from the movie Babe! Daffy on the other hand was a mixture of Black Scoter and Mallard!
Awesome capture.
I had a friend with a flock of these. Fritz would have liked them!
Great shot, and sadly I'm sure you are correct.
