Description
Photo risky to tonight: I was driving along the road from Coltano (PI) leads the Aurelia road to go to Pisa, when I saw this magnificent animal on the light pole to my left. Braked abruptly without even thinking about picking up some protests a couple of people who had barely avoided a collision. But I took no scompormi my SLR and shot, before moving too advised to escape the rapacious.

Wonderful shot! What a majestic bird! I see hawks (and eagles!) often around here perching high above traffic on light posts or electric poles...I'm tempted to stop but never do, as there is always too much traffic and I'd almost certainly cause an accident or get myself killed!
An excellent capture and zoom. Beautiful feathers.
