Description
The 'Chill' image is a culmination of most all of the elements contained in my last image 'Autumn Reflections' ( http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=13597.0 ) except that it is a winter scene that used the following additions:
• Overcast sky/clouds by FrankB available at the Planetside forum.
• Big Pine model by jcinbama which is available at Ashundar downloads.
• Ice flows - Thanks to both dandelO and Dune for their files which were used here to create the broken ice in the water. These can be downloaded at the Planetside forum.
• Fog - Thanks to Mark (Thelby). From time to time, he and I trade ideas and files. Initially, I had worked on the fog, localizing a cloud formation with set coordinates. After repeatedly re-seeding the clouds numerous times looking to achieve the results I was looking for, I gave up for a day. Mark had heard from me regarding the issue and sent over a file which after viewing was a perfect fit. He used a method I have used in the past which I should have thought of in the first place.
• Refer to other elements mentioned in the Autumn Reflections thread.
Enjoy.

This is Fabulous, Bob, the way the fog hugs the watre as it slowly makes it's way up the hill! I think it is called freezing fog and something I don't to come in contact with, but is Lovely to look at!! Beautiful rework on this one!!!
Fantastic bit of work, especially like the mini ice flows!
Fantastic! Great mist and lighting! Corrie
I think you just about nailed it. This is a great render! Since this is a winter scene, would it make sense to make some of the foreground vegetation brown?
fantastic scenery!

Brrrrr...this looks really cold! Love the fog and the water. Excellent winter image.
This is fantastic! Love the glint of the sun on the water. The fog reminds me of yesterday. We were socked in. Highly unusual for the desert.
One word, Bob -BOOM! You nailed this one. Excellent composition, and the lighting is fantastic. My low sun angle scene attempts have not gotten this good yet.
Excellent realistic looking scene!!!
Truly breathtaking! Wonderful job!

Wow, the lighting and mist is just amazing, I really love this!

This blows me away Bob... from the lighting, to the mist. Excellent work all around. Fabulous work all around
Very realistic looking image.
Unbelivable realism here from the one and only Bob! Looks wonderful, i like the mist and the hill to the right. Your terragen-gallery looks more and more like a photograph-gallerie....You have a very strong artistic imagination for landscape-design, it is always a pleasure to watch these beautiful places you create. I wish you all the best (healthfullness & creativity) for the new year Bob!
