Description
Denise was correct in her identification of the Cormorants! in fact they are the Double Crested Cormorants. they usually nest on the coast but are found on inland waterways. This info is entirely new to me as I always thought the cormorant was usually at sea/coast. Hey! if it flaps its wings it's a bird and I'm lucky at that.
anyhow, on my way home today, this HERON was no more than 10 meters from me when I got this shot.
enjoy

Fantastic capture-Look's like a gorgeous day
beautiful bird indeed!!
I'm like that sometimes with animals & plants. It was my late mother-in-law who usually told me the names of the ones here in Arkansas; I knew most of the ones in my native Florida. And which of us has the Zoology degree & 3 hours with lab of Botany? Me. Very beautiful capture.
Nicely caught!
Hey! Well caught here Mike! Bright, close for a Heron (they are shy birds!), excellent shot.. Great dedi.. Rob
Congratulations on this very beautiful photo-shot, Mike!

Beautiful shot, Mike!
True, on the last photo were cormorants. On my way to work I was always one who wiped the feathers after diving. I baptized him spontaneously on the name of Hubert ... Again, this heron is once again a beautiful bird. A blue heron? Great photo!
Schönes Foto.
