Description
We have all had to stop, while driving the highways and byways, of this great country. This outhouse was a shocker. This was taken in the summer of 2010. Men and women shared the same stall. No joke! The picnic tables were very well built and kept in great condition. I guessed that there was no water in the area. Imagine eating your lunch behind that. Zoom if you dare.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

Welcome to rural America or as some would say, 'Merika! Cool capture
yes more and more places is becomeing like this. Never saw one made out of wood
Very cool capture Dana!!!
Fantastic shot Dana, adorable place, very well done!
A rustic Bog, at least its not go behind a tree.
Excellent shot.
Better than a bush.
Kinda old fashioned, dear Dana. A wonderful capture. Hugs for all day. Di. xx
So, was the right door for voyeurs, LOL? Seriously, if would have been funnier if the left door was for men and the right for women, but they opened to the same area. I remember seeing a bar in Osoyoos with separate entrances for men, and ladies with escorts, and they both opened into the same bar room. We are starting to see mixed use washrooms more frequently in Canada, and they are appearing in primary schools, the best place to make a start.
I thought that it would have been used to keep saw's and lawnmower's in-Oh' well always learning..
Nice capture but there is no way i would be sharing i have my own restroom to my self and nobody is allowed to use it lol i guess i am just a little picky about that.
have not seen one like that in years, many years, cool find.
Flip, youi would have to be desperate :o) But better than some I have seen :o)
Isn't is funny how spoiled we've gotten by modern conveniences? I remember when I was a VERY small child visiting my great grandparents in Bowlus, Northern Minnesota. They lived on a farm; their kitchen water source was a pump next to the sink and a bucket underneath the drain hole and their bathroom was an outhouse like this.
great capture
I think I'd skip lunch. ;) Wonderful capture!
great capture! :)
interesting rest area
A very rustic looking outhouse, I hope it was clean inside. Why we don't spend more money on toilets I will never know as everyone has to go. We have some great ones here but others leave a lot to the imagination I'm afraid.
Beautiful capture of the unisex outhouse, Dana, so wonderfully rustic in appearance and construction.
when I was growing up I dug a many hole for the ole out house.as bad as it smelled when you had to go it was a welcome relief.luckily I never dug in the same place twice!!!
Incredible mood!
A primitive loo! - yes, I think I would also skip lunch there ... quite funny actually, when you are not on the other end of the stick ;) BB
I wouldn't go in there,very good Capture.
LOL... Better than a tree! I remember outhouses... We are rather spoiled now.
