Description
More perspective work in London.
Shot on the Shad Thames walkway on the southbank of the River Thames in London. This was a major dock area in Victorian times that fell into disrepair. In the 1970s the area experienced a major renovation as the old warehouses were converted into upscale flats, resteraunts and pubs.
Looking west to Tower Bridge I loved how several sets of dark and light lines intersected at this point in a major cityscape.

Wonderful capture love that you have it in black & white
nice lead in with the railings
Love this one, Roxy! Talk about leading lines.... This just pulls you right into the image and invites you to stay a while and explore. Excellent choice for B&W.
Wonderful capture!
Great shot, Roxy! A wonderful mix of the old and the new in this picture with the clouds as a nice backdrop. Beautiful contrasts everywhere you look!
A so great capture!
I was there about 6 years ago. Took a boat trip down the Thames. Cool shot!
Excellent image. The convergence of the lines from the bridge, dock and railings really do draw you in. Great shot.

What a stunning capture Roxie, this is my fav from this series of your travels so far
quite beautiful. The mix of old and new in this gives many different focus points to ponder. Well contrasted b/w.
Wonderful capture =)!!!
my cousin lived right near this amazing bridge down Saint Katerine's way and this brings back fond memories of my time there..... choosing mono/sepia for this image is spot on....your eye then enjoys the forms and lines as opposed to the colours....nicely done
This is very nice,Roxy. If the "Gerkin"and other modern buildings this picture could be ageless! Clever!
beautiful view over all !like it in b/w!!!
Superb B&W picture!
Wonderful capture. London is such a great city.
Beautiful shot and PW.
Very nice capture. I like the sepia coloring very much. Well done.
This is wonderful...
Gorgeous picture with an alluring POV. Reminds me of a vintage photo or postcard. The choice of B&W was a sound one, for it reinforces the sense of continuity, of "oneness", of the landscape and landmarks. Makes one want to have a large on to hang on the living room wall.
Wonderful and amazing photography, there are so many interesting sights to be seen in London, well done! hugs Jane xx
Another reason to book a flight--an amazing view of a world famous Thames river and skyline...I imagine the place has a vibrant modern yet somehow mixed old world feel--woudl love to get a whiff of that! Amazing shot and post treatment
Wonderful shot, love it!!!
