Hi all, it's been a while, but I've found another pic :) I don't upload as regularly as I would like to, but school takes up a lot of work. I'll be happy if it's January. With a bit of luck, I won't have to re-do any exams and I'll be free of school for the entire month. The image above was taken months ago. We went to Loevestein Castle for my grandmothers birthday. Until the Second World War Loevestein Castle was part of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie (New Dutch Waterline) the main Dutch defense line that was based on flooding an area of land south and east of the western provinces. Currently the castle is used as a medieval museum and function centre. When it was a prison, Hugo de Groot escaped from it hiding in a bookcase. It's a wonderful place if you like medieval architecture. They day we were there a battle was reenacted. It was great to see, but all the loud noises were a little bit too much for the small children. Fantastic to see though...
