Description
A more atmospheric setting for the Dornier Do24 prototype X-1. Really just playing with the silhouette in Vue. And getting my "flying boat" fix after straying off to Darwin and elsewhere recently...
I don't know about you, but I find the Dornier looks almost otter-like in its MLD paint-job, assuming otters ever get around the Pacific hanging under whopping great wings sporting three enormous radial engines... There is bound to be the germ of a crazy Disney animation in that????

After 'Cars'....there are enough variants of flying boats, Widgeon,Beaver,Twin Otter (one is kidnapped and the other organises a rescue....we even have a story),Albatross,Fly Catcher, Sea Fox and a hero.......got to be Sopwith Bat Boat.When Disney come knocking we'll go halves :-) This looks excellent, with the sun behind and lense flare, a great travel brochure cover.......
