Description
Lantana horrida.
This plant is commonly cultivated in Arizona. I found this one near Phoenix, Arizona, USA. They come in different colors. Another popular color is yellow. I like this variety best because it has two colors in it. The outside edge has the oldest blossoms. The new blossoms grow near the center, and they change color as they get older. This is a favorite plant for butterflies.
I have no idea why the species name is "horrida". Sounds bad, but the plant is beautiful.

lovely blossoms !!never seen before !
I also have never seen it before-Beautiful flower though
Use to have a rather large shrub of this in the yard. That is until we had a hard frost for 5 days. Very, very pungent odor as I recall and it had four color variation! A great draw for the insect world! Nicely captured!
