Description
the nice part of the Washougal River Greenway project is that it provides a wonderful habitat for all sorts of birds and animals. in this shot, we see a beautiful heron falpping his/her wings. the most amazing part of this scene is that he/she started this only after I stopped my bike and got my camera out and started taking pictures. After about five shots, I put my cmaera away and the heron stopped the wing flapping.
This is dedicated to Denise as she has so much fun trying to capture a heron on her camera....
I'll be posting a cropped shot in the nest upload
Thanks to all who welcomed me back. I really appreciate it. My uploads will still be sporatic but for the next couple of weeks, I will be very busy, if not going insane due to work and other commitments

AMAZING PLACE! GREAT CAPTURE
another Very Nice shot mike..
What a stunning scene, Mike; I wish they showed off for me the way they do for you. The herons around here are amazingly shy! Thanks so much for the dedi, I really appreciate being remembered!
You make the world go around Mike. Even the herons understand.
It looks misty and quiet I can almost hear the birds.shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lol totally awesome shot~~~
this is such a beautiful spot...so nice to here about the protection of wild life habitat...bet the heron was giving you a warning to just get the heck out of his domain ;)
Beautiful area, still a fair bit of green on that vegetation!
Beautiful scenery! Great shot.
Beautiful colors and textures ,Mike!!
Great capture, Mike! :o)
It gets really hard to keep up with galleries. I've said it before.. dunno how you all keep up with so many people commenting on your work. I can't seem to create and do galleries .. one of the other suffers. And I don't even work. I can't imagine working, coming home and taking care of things here, AND finding time to cover galleries and create! I really like the shots you get from here, and this is another great one.
Great shot!!!!!!!!
