Description

Dorset Senior Cup 12th November 2011 Parley 2-1 Poole Borough Res @Parley Sports Club Mark Harrison gave the visitors a first half lead with a 20 yard shot that skimmed the grass and curved into the right hand side of the net which the Parley keeper could only get fingertips to. Parley did find the back of the net only for the strike to be ruled out for offside. Parley piled on the pressure in the second half, and finally equalized with a Dan Hickford deflected free kick from the edge of the box, that looped into the left hand side of the net of the unfortunately wrong footed Poole keeper. A second free kick again on the edge of the box was chipped from right to left for Adam Janes to head down into the path of Dan Hickford to blast the ball from close range inside the near post to score his second. The game was marred by a melee near the end with Joe Meyer of Parley being pushed in the face, resulting in Poole being reduced to 10 men.
