Description
Today, we all remember and celebrate the end of World War One.
This image is dedicated to all the soldiers who fought or the ones who are still fighting for the freedom of their country or to protect the population.
This picture was taken in the American military cemetery of Saint-Avold also known as the American Lorraine Cemetery.
In this place stand 10 489 graveyards of american soldiers who died during WWII. It is the largest military cemetery of Europe.
When you enter in this place and see rows and rows of graveyards, you can only feel sad and so sorry for all these men who sacrificed themseves. You have only one question in mind "Why? What kind of madness were all these wars?"
So, let's hope that our leaders will put definitly an end to the wars all around the world, put an end to this madness and choose a peaceful option to solve problems between countries.
Let's hope for better days for humankind...
Have a great and safe day
Virginie

My heart is with all those that are in wars now and my heart is with all those that have lost a loved one to war. I pray for all the wars to end also. This is a most beautiful dedi. Thank you my dad was in WW II even though he has passed I think of him alot on this day.
Such a beautiful remembrance.
GReat dedi Virginie, my heart goes out to all the families who have lost loved one's in military service to their countries.
beautiful remembrance and true words !!
A very good and sad Message - have a nice weekend
So much death is sadness
i agree .... it is always important to remember... never forgot . great dedi !
impressive! Great tribute
Lovely tribute and great words!
Very thoughtful sentiments.
A fine tribute and dedication.....but a forlorn hope I fear :-(
Thank you, Virginie. A grand sentiment, but be glad and grateful that some answer the call when necessary.
This is a fabulous photo and tribute my dear friend, splendid and touching indeed, marvelous capture!
Great tribute , Virginie !
Great tribute and true words !
Belle photo...
Magnifique
amen to that. Nice tribute.
Great picture and tribute to those that fought Virginiese!
a capture filled with a memorial spirit! ;o)
