Description
I've been always fascinated by the physical world and the wonders that abound - for instance -magnatism and motion.
the object you see is a 'magic levitating spinner'.
very cool and fun to play with
Mike
Have a great day

Oh yes, fascinating. It does not look like it's levitating though, spinning perhaps. Looks like fun for the whole family. :)
Frictionless. Nice. I've been reading a lot, lately: not so surprising, really. I've been reading William Gibson's latest novels--the most recent being Zero History, but it's actually Pattern Recognition that I think of when I see this, as the central female protagonist (a member of a famous but famously defunct rock band) was hired by a man with an improbable name and given accommodation in a swanky place with a levitating bed. She was always somewhat disturbed by the idea of sleeping on something held perfectly in place by magnetic levitation. I thought of that when I saw this, and needless to say, I love the not-so-mundane aspects of what we take to be the mundane world. This is brilliant and it represents a toy that I want. I'll have to go looking. I love this shot too...the reflections are what grab me: they look to be vintage posters or advertisements and yet the spinny mag-lev toy is so now and on that bleeding-edge-to-the-future; it's a fantastic, and somewhat telling contrast. Humanity is in an odd place right now, and it's far more fun than we're allowing ourselves to think.
I have seen these before on big shots desks. It is cool to play with while in problem solving mode.
Never seen one of these before but it looks and sounds cool I think!
Any machine makes the soul in motion as. But the sighs of a do not disturb the values of the other. ((5 + +)) Toute machination rend l'âme en mouvement comme. Mais les soupirs de l'un ne dérangent pas les valeurs de l'autre . ((5++))
Never heard of it, very cool.
Awesome dodad,a great conversation piece. I remember the one Jim (Greyone) had,it was awesome to watch. Cool capture Mike.
Not sure what I am looking at maybe a alien probe.
Cool shot!
I have one of these... always felt like they found something like this on the Roswell saucer but didn't know quite what it was... very cool motion blur.
This is totally cool .. I love how the reflections are crisp and clear .. but the spinnerin thingy is fuzzy because it's spinnerining .. grins!
