Description
...With Apologies to Johnny Cash.
I'm Searching for inspiration in my much-reduced spare time.
I've had a rather large creative impasse, where I just can't seem to come up with any ideas. Coupled with a schedule that seems to give me little more than enough time to eat, sleep, and go to work. I keep hoping that I can find a way to squeeze some inspiration out of this, but so far it's been rather spare pickings.
At any rate, I have captured a large number of new cloud pictures, which I thought I should at least try to use in something new. Somehow this ring seemed to emerge of its own accord, so rather than fight it I let it have its way.
Looks like a powerful star either blasting away the dust and debris around it, or in the process of shedding its mass as it nears the end of its life.
Whichever you prefer.
Thanks for taking a look, any comments, suggestions and critiques are certainly welcome.

caught a star and hold on to it. stars is like ideas. just look up and see countless ones and hold on to one.
LOVE IT
Whichever it is, it's spectacular, Mike! You are a master at these scenes! Seems a lot of us are overworked lately - and the ones that aren't are underworked and short on cash. Too bad there's not a way to even things out a bit!
Very cool! I like the way the central star is burning through.
A ring of fire. A ring of fire.
Amazing work.
