Description
Its mid 1945. Okinawa is lost and this unfortunate soldier has picked the totally wrong girl to drown in the terrible aftermath. Frankly, I don't think that the American "monsters" were really in her league. Of course the United States did let its occupation of the island drag on and on for several unseemly decades, didn't it? So, just how many Marines does it take to catch one "mermaid"??? ;-)
Rendered in Poser 8. No postwork (other than the signature etc)

V4 with Seafolk tail (RDNA), dynamic kimono, Naoko hair and toothy friend (Water Dragon) (DAZ).
The soldier (who is about to become part of something larger than us all) is David 3, with Japanese soldier uniform (Poserworld) and Merlin's Katana (Complete Samurai bundle- DAZ). The glasses are a Poser 6 prop for James.
Bubbles are one sided squares with transparency maps applied or obj blobs with "fresnel" shaders applied.

O.M.G!! this is epic mate.....just jaw dropping, makesme want to reach for a towel.Posing,lighting,choice of characters...there is not a flaw in this.Placement of the hat and glasses, the mermaid looks ready to avenge all the poor dolphins and 'long,wet and toothsome' has heard the dinner gong.Best image I've seen all week! absolute fave.......
