Description
An ominous looking sky heralded stormy weather and then the rain set in - what a relief!
Everything looked refreshed again after the downpour, but I liked to linger a little longer, standing on the inside - looking out ...
I love the mood of this - don't you ?
***
BTW the lyrics, from the same title, were made famous by several great singers - time to swoon along with Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Lena Horne or Billie Holiday ?
Enjoy -
Cheers Brigitte

I love this! I love how the light glitters on the rain trails, the light and shadowy objects inside, and the sharp rain trails and soft reflection of the trees. Beautiful composition, atmosphere, and light. I like your use of a lower contrast border too. Very beautiful. I love rain. I've lived in hot climates a lot and rain is so refreshing. I love the smell, the drenched branches, and soft light. We are in a drought so it is particularly beautiful to me right now. I agree with Mark. For that song, Lena Horne, definitely.
This is a brilliant original of a classic theme. Great work.
a poetic moody capture of the mysterious dark after or during a storm, and of the silver-laced waters that drip down from it. The light and background gold/red reflections give warmth to the shot. And it looks like you're looking out over a big opening in the lower left half, like over the sea. A very sensitive shot, and it feels like what it is, a moment from a storm as seen from the comfort of one's own home... (btw, I grew up as a classical and jazz pianist, and I loved lena horne, ella fitzgerald and billie holiday, among others. I saw fitzgerald in person, several times, and she was astonishing. She improvised like an instrumentalist, and her energy was non-ending....Also, I'm now back in 2011 in your gallery, so I'm going backwards. It would be quite a feat if you could get this gallery to go back to the 1800s...you'd have people running into the present yelling, "hey! this lady has posts back to 1762!" Performance art...)
