Description
While in Bukittinggi I had become friendly with six young Germans at my hotel. After coming back from my visit to the zoo they informed me that they had booked a tour of the countryside outside of the city and I was welcome to come along. I signed up and the next day we boarded a van for a day in the country. Notice the church tower. Northern Sumatra is home to many Indonesian Christians.

beautiful countryside. And nice of them to invite you to join them on the tour.
Great shot! I love the terrain and the colors, they blend so beautifully. The low lying clouds really add to the great mood of the scene. I'm glad they invited you along.

That was nice of them and it shows that it cost nothing and pays to be friendly. Beautiful landscape and image. Wonderful capture of the textures and colors. I like the warm color of the church against the backdrop of green. Beautiful composition and atmosphere.
